Our Association, of which the mission is to prevent constructions from termite damage and decay, has been in existence for over forty years and is an organization that was accredited as corporation aggregate by the Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport. To effectively prevent termite damage and execute a termite control operation, not only must we pay sufficient attention to people's health and environmental protection, but also we require two things; one is professional knowledge of preventive measures involving termite ecology, decay, drugs, architecture, termiticide application, etc., and the second is empirical knowledge resulting from on site experience over many years. We are establishing, to achieve better termite control, "a registration system for treatment business for protecting constructions from termites and decay","a system for approving insecticides etc.", "standard specifications", "criteria for safety control", "system for termite control operators" and "a system for training　termite and decay inspectors". Our Association leads and trains the termite control industry in cooperation with the appropriate government offices so as to ensure that consumers will have confidence in termite control practices.
